These elastic-sided boots are crafted for a client with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). As bespoke orthopaedic shoemakers, we must carefully consider how best to make our footwear work for you. Our footwear treatment care plan for MND includes: Minimising internal lining seams and ensuring softness around areas of the foot that are sensitive, swollen, or have fragile skin. These boots are designed to accommodate personal preferences and details regarding the uppers and soles. The uppers are made from Stone Nubuck, featuring a velvety texture complemented by olive-coloured, wide, and deep elastic. A back tab serves as a boot pull to assist in putting them on, complemented by a strong long shoe horn used by the wearer. The bottom is crafted from oak bark-tanned leather, moulded, shaped, and specially finished in a unique manner. Leather-stacked heels are broad and wide for balance, finished naturally.
